 Our deepest condolences to all who loved and cared for our Uncle. He was proud of his family, his friends and his colleagues who made his life in Germany such an enriching experience. We are grateful for the example of basic human goodness and a life dedicated to scientific pursuits he set for us and the future generations of our family.

 Thanks to all of you who were involved in his medical care or otherwise brightened his life through your presence in it.
